Why is Satan associated with the number 6?
he number 6 is actually most associated with man. Man was created on the sixth day, which coincides with being the last day that God creatively worked. Being associated with man means that six also correlates with man’s rebellion and separation from God which is, of course, authored by Satan. The most infamous use of the number 6 is found in the book of Revelation, where John wrote, He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hands or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man’s number. His number is 666—Revelation 13:16-18. This refers to the false prophet who will support the antichrist with supernatural powers, one of which will be to control the world’s economy through the universal receiving of the “mark of the beast.” If 7 is the number that refers to perfection and completeness, meaning God, then 6 represents man falling short of that perfection and completeness by his aligning himself with Satan.
